Drawing attention to the pricing

One of the worst things to draw attention to in a menu is the prices. This may sound obvious but you would be amazed by the number of menus I see with prices aligned to the right with big dollar signs!
The English language reads left to right and this is the way a menu is read. A diner goes out to enjoy themselves and while they may have an idea of how much they are going to spend, this is not something that should dictate their selection. With pricing aligned to the right you are helping to draw attention to it and encouraging the diner to compare prices between items!
